It is one of only three Chapters under the English Constitution to work a truly unique and symbolic opening ceremony, featuring a Thurifer. The Thurifer (it’s a person, not a thing) carries a censer – or thurible; a metal incense burner traditionally suspended from chains, creating a deeply immersive experience.
It’s a distinctive ritual built on a powerful historic tradition and everyone is welcome - including those who are not members of the Kent Club; that said, Kent Club members joining or being exalted in 2025 will have their joining fee paid by the Club.
Subscriptions are a very reasonable £60, with meetings at Freemasons’ Hall three times a year (in February, April and November). There are also currently opportunities for progression to the Steward office at the April 2025 convocation.
